Virgin Blue 737-800

Virgin Australia was launched as Virgin Blue, as a low-cost airline in August 2000, with two Boeing 737–400 aircraft they initially offered seven return flights between Brisbane and Sydney before they expanded to cover all major Australian cities and holiday destinations. After the closure of Ansett Australia Virgin rapidly became Australia’s second domestic carrier, enabling them to phase out their older 737-400’s in favour of the new Boeing 737-800 which now feature modern glass cockpits, winglets and greater fuel efficiency.
