SBS Transit B9TL

SBS Transit is a bus and rail operator in Singapore formed in 1973. They became part of ComfortDelGro Corporation in 2003, one of the world’s largest transport companies. SBS Transit have a fleet of about 3,000 buses and more than 200 bus services.

The Volvo B9TL is a double-decker low-floor bus, popular in Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK. SBS Transit operated over 1500 units and was previously the main operator of the bus before BCM. The main difference between the B9TL and its predecessors (the Volvo B7TL and the Volvo B10TL) is the larger 9-litre diesel engine, producing 310 hp and 1400 Nm. The body was designed and assembled by SBS’s parent company ComfortDelGro Corporation.
