Forest Coach Lines is a major provider of public transport across a wide stretch of Sydney’s northern suburbs, as well as the Mid North Coast and West Slopes regions in New South Wales. The business began in 1930 as Royle Bros Pty Ltd. From the late 1940s, the French Forest district grew with housing expansions that encompassed War Service Homes and private residential development. With this growth, so too did Royle Bros and they changed names in 1964, to Forest Coach Lines Pty Ltd to more accurately reflect the business. The livery also changed from beige and dark green to white and green. In 2018, the company was purchased from shareholders by ComfortDelgro Australia. The company now employs over 250 staff and 240 vehicles, with mainly Volvo and Mercedes-Benz in the fleet.
